A native app that goes as fast as your connection
Lavawall® runs a small program on your computer instead of a browser tab. That one change fixes the speed, the timeouts, and the restarts.
Full-bandwidth downloads
The app uses the full speed of your Internet connection, so a job that took days in a browser can finish in a fraction of the time.
No 48 to 72 hour queue
There is no waiting for Google to assemble an archive first. The app connects and starts pulling your data straight away.
Resumes after outages
If your Internet drops, the download picks up where it left off instead of restarting a 200 GB shared drive from zero.
Everything in one job
Grab shared drives, user drives, Gmail, calendar, contacts, and tasks in a single pass instead of one drive at a time.
How it works
Install the native app
Download the small Lavawall® app to the computer or network drive where you want the data to land.
Connect Google Workspace
Authorize the tenant and pick what you need: shared drives, user drives, Gmail, calendar, contacts, and tasks.
Download at full speed
The app pulls everything in one job at your full connection speed and resumes automatically if the Internet drops.
Why a browser is the wrong tool
When you need Google Workspace data for an offboarding, a legal hold, a migration, or a client leaving, you need it now, not next week. A Google export can sit in a queue for 48 to 72 hours before the archive is even ready, and direct-to-cloud backup services often make you download each shared drive separately through a browser, sometimes at kilobits per second, with disconnects and timeouts on large data sets.
Lavawall® runs a native downloader on your own computer instead. It uses your full bandwidth, downloads everything in one job, and keeps going where a browser session would stall. Backups are read-only, the data lands on storage you own, ready for archiving, migration, or a legal hold, and none of it passes through our servers. If a disk fills up mid-job, it asks for the next one and keeps going.
You can get Lavawall® Backup on its own, with no other Lavawall® product required, or it comes with a plan: Professional includes it for tenants up to 100 users or 50 TB, and Complete up to 1,000 users or 5,000 TB.
The real cost is your team's time
The export itself looks free. The labour around it is not.
Doing it by hand
Someone has to set up GAM or a paid export, stand up and pay for a Google Cloud Storage bucket, kick off an archive that can take a day or more, then babysit browser downloads that stall on a reboot or a dropped connection and start over.
That is easily 5 to 20 hours of skilled time. At typical rates that is hundreds to a few thousand dollars in labour, before you count the risk of an incomplete copy or a blown deadline.
With Lavawall® Backup
Install the app, authorize once, and start the export. It runs at your full connection speed, resumes on its own, spans as many disks as it needs, and keeps a manifest so you can prove the copy is complete.
One click and $225 for a tenant up to 100 users or 50 TB. Your tech spends the afternoon on billable work instead of watching a progress bar.
Export often? It is included in Professional (up to 100 users / 50 TB) and Complete (up to 1,000 / 5,000 TB), or add unlimited exports at any size for $45/mo per tenant.
Common questions
- Do I still have to wait 48 to 72 hours for a Google export?
- No. A Google export can sit in a queue for 48 to 72 hours before it is ready to download. Lavawall® skips that: a native app on your computer downloads straight to your drive at the full speed of your Internet connection.
- What happens if my Internet drops during a large export?
- The download resumes. Because Lavawall® runs a native app on your computer rather than a browser tab, it recovers from outages and picks up where it left off instead of starting over.
- What can I export from Google Workspace?
- Shared drives, individual user Google Drives, Gmail, calendars, contacts, and tasks. You can grab everything in one job instead of clicking through each drive one at a time.
